Here is the note where they teach the second person singular possessive suffixes. I'll start with the biggest issue, which is that although the Duolingo is supposed to be a very informal Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), they have actually inserted some grammar from dialects without any warning that they are deviating completely from MSA. I have noticed some very serious issues and I'd like to ask those of you who are more familiar with Arabic if the issues I have with it seem accurate, and if you have noticed any other issues with the course.Īrbitrary mixing of MSA and Dialect with no warning I have been doing the Duolingo Arabic course and so far I have completed around a third of it. I know that there are some strong feelings about Duolingo on this forum, but I would like to keep the scope of this thread limited to the specific issues with the Arabic course, if possible.
